VISIT OLÉ

Bring A Team Of Players / Trainers To Olé

EXPERIENCE THE OLÉ WAY IN THE WORLD'S #1 RATED PLACE TO LIVE

Wellington, New Zealand was recently voted the World's best place to live with the highest quality of life. Recently, Wellington has been voted one of the safest cities to visit in the World. Bring football into the mix and you really "can't beat Wellington on a good day." Olé Football Academy is located just 30 minutes from Wellington International Airport. In the past, Olé has accommodated groups of up to 50 players and 10 trainers / coaches at a time. In recent years, The Olé F.A. has worked as lead consultant with the Vanuatu Football Federation (2017 U-20 World Cup Qualification), Team Wellington Youth (NZ National Youth League), South Auckland Elite (SAE) and Western Suburbs Football Club

If you are interested in visiting Olé Football Academy or bringing a team / group of players to experience The Olé Way during the 2018 New Zealand School Holiday Calendar email Ben Sippola (ben@ole.co.nz) for prices, dates and conditions of visit or fill out the form at the bottom of this page. See references from previous visitors below.

September 2017 EAFC girls made the trip to Wellington to train with Olé Academy. What an experience to have Declan Edge and Ben Sippola train our girls. Our whole football beliefs have been turned upside down. Olé has changed the way I look at football. This has impacted me on so many levels and has completely changed the way I am now coaching my girls. We have been helped to simplify the game. Back to basics. Holistic development, creating the whole player. Doing things differently. My girls are ecstatic, the path to greatness seems clearer now. Can’t thank the boys enough at Olé.
— Haley Gleeson, Coach - Ellerslie AFC 12th Grade Girls Premier

Q: In your opinion, who do you rate as the best coach in the world and what makes them so good?

A: I truthfully have no interest in overseas football really. I think the best coach for me is, Declan Edge. Just look at the football style his team’s play and the players he produces. For me he stands out from the rest.
— Paul Hobson, Birkenhead United Director of Football

The SAE (South Auckland Elite) football group has visited Olé Academy on multiple occasions during the past 2 years. They have catered for our needs whether we have 2 players or 22 players, staying on site or off. On every occasion Olé have been very effective in supporting our time spent in Wellington. Their quality of coaching and application of content is second to none and they provide an appropriate environment for sporting and social development. What has impressed me most are the philosophies and values that are evident through each age group and are consistent from each coach. Olé have a clear vision towards nurturing young talent. Developing future stars requires long term vision, constant work and patience. Their vision, mission and perseverance in pursuing the ultimate goal are evident in their success.
— Mark Atkinson, Director of Coaching South Auckland Elite

The hospitality shown to the boys and myself, as their ‘supervisor’ was more than professional, it was the product I believe, of the fact that we all had a common goal, the development of those young athletes, and as such was clearly genuine. Your current crop of players do you all great credit. They welcomed our boys into their home and treated them as friends, leaving a hugely positive impression on them.

Although our boys have trained with quite a different philosophy, putting close ball skills and personal player development as their major priority, everyone at the academy made huge efforts to show great politeness and respect for the abilities the boys had developed. It is my view that the success of New Zealand football is directly linked to the success of your academy and any other organization that emulates your approach, and that our boys was very lucky to be a part of it, even for such a short time.

I look forward to organising more trips to Olé on behalf of the boys and to meeting you again, and wish you all well, both for the future of the academy and the sport as a whole.
— Residential Camper Parent

Thank you for everything the Olé Football Academy Staff did to facilitate our trip to Wellington, New Zealand and allowing us to see your players and spend time discussing the beautiful game. I was so impressed with the staff’s professionalism and the approach you guys have towards the development of the players that you work with from U8 and U9 through to your first team.
— Brian Plotkin, Assistant Head Coach, Dartmouth College
